It’s that time of year again when Flair Cleaners asks you to go through your clothes with a generous heart. All five Flair Cleaner’s locations are participating in our 14th Annual Clothing and Shoe Drive. The drive begins November 25 and ends December 31, 2016.
This year’s drive will benefit local charities including MEND, the Los Angeles Mission and Helping Hands for the Blind. You can learn more about these amazing organizations by visiting our Flair Cleaners Facebook page.
Donate to the Drive
Customers can drop off gently used or new clothing, shoes and accessories in the clothing bins at the entrance to all our Flair Cleaners locations.
- Redondo Beach
- Santa Monica
- Valencia
- Burbank
- Studio City
Clothing and shoes may be gently used but must be in good condition, wearable and not ready to be discarded. Clothing will be cleaned, if needed, and then distributed.
What to Donate
When going through your closet and drawers, ask yourself these questions:
- Does this fit?
- Have I worn this in the last 12 months?
- Is it likely I will wear this again?
- Is this in style right now?
- If I were shopping, would I buy this?
Your answers to these questions will help you decide whether to donate that item or not. And, once you decide to donate, remember to empty all your pockets. While all types of clothing are needed and welcomed, the following are needed most:
- Jeans and other denim products
- Professional clothing
- Scarves
- Purses
- Hats
- Gloves
- Belts
- Coats and jackets
All of us at Flair Cleaners appreciate your generosity during these annual drives. With your help we have collected and donated tens of thousands of pounds of clothing over the past 13 years. Let’s make the 14th the best yet!
